You do not need a lengthy history. A full model, an order reference when available and a short account of the issue make the request easier to review.
Keep the device identity
Save the brand, complete model code and a clear label photograph with the matching instructions. Keep any serial or batch number in your private records. Label the guide with its revision when one is printed.
Keep the transaction details
| Keep | Why it helps |
|---|---|
| Seller and purchase channel | Identifies who processed the transaction. |
| Order reference and date | Locates the purchase and applicable terms. |
| Selected model and package | Clarifies what was included in that order. |
| Confirmation, receipt or packing list | Supports a missing-item or version question. |
| Existing request reference | Keeps follow-up details with the same case. |
For a gift, ask the purchaser for a redacted receipt or order reference. If a detail cannot be found, state that rather than selecting an unrelated order.
